Oregon went from very good to mediocre when Tedford left, and Cal went from mediocre to very good within two years of Tedford's arrival. I don't know about the top 10 - and I don't remember if Rogers will be back at QB for Cal - but if Cal has a decent QB next year, don't be surprised to see them in the top 20 if not the top 10.

Not to mention Tedfords ability to develop QBs. Akili Smith, Harrington, AJ Feely. Three QBs in a row went to the NFL, two are still starters.
Interestingly, Tedford did give props to Bellotti the other day. Something to the effect that Cal was running Bellotti's offense.

I don't remember if Rogers will be back at QB for Cal He filed his papers with the NCAA to turn pro. I'm not sure who his backup is or whether he's any good, but Cal is losing a great junior QB.
