"What does the PAC 10 have besides USC???" #9 Cal and #19 Arizona State.
The final computer performance rankings published by Jeff Sagarin at USA Today, show the PAC-10 as the second strongest conference overall, and with the strongest average team. The SEC rated sixth. The PAC-10 doesn't have as many weak sisters as does the SEC.

LMAO! The computer performance is a joke just like the BCS. Remember they now no longer figure in strength of schedule due to all the sorry schools crying that it was not fair. The SEC has more National Titles than any other conference. Ask any real college football fan what conference has the best teams period. They will tell you its the SEC. The only problem I would say with the SEC is that you have too many good teams playing each other every week. So its difficult to remain undefeated in the SEC.
You say the PAC 10 does not have any weak Sisters like the SEC. LOL! OK here are some of the stronger SEC teams. Just match them up with the PAC team that is way stronger. LOL!
Auburn
LSU
Alabama
Georgia
Florida
Tennessee
