I know this is vanity, that is why I posted it in the General/Chat section of FR. But over the years I know notice that there are a lot of anime fans on FR and I would hate for any of them to get burned on the this DVD release.

And this is why I have created this thread. On a side note, there are some DVD errors on the GitS:Stand Alone Complex DVD Bandai has released, but they are not as serious and Bandai has offered to replace them, so that is not are serious a problem. Also, Bandia did an excellent job on the translation and English dub of the GitS:SAComplex series as seen on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network.

I saw the first film, never saw the second. That aside, if you can play other regions of DVD, you may look for a British or even Australian DVD that you prefer...

The Australian DVD of Akira came out with the 1980s dub soundtrack as WELL as the modern dub soundtrack as WELL as the new Japanese subtitles plus some bonus materials (making of, etc.). Since Australia lags behind some release schedules, they try to go the extra mile for some titles to differentiate their product.
