The house has changed some since I was born in it. Dad added porches and a basement. I went upward.
Every so often, we renovate a different room or area.
My brother said I was the only man in the county who built the house he was born in.

I started out life in a little duplex about 30 miles away from my current location. We moved here when I was 2. My parents have made a lot of changes to the house. Every time I visit, something is different.

Brightness
The brightest silver trinket
That gleams beneath the light,
Will have a dark side under it,
A portion of the night.
Every joy you are to feel,
Will have an ending day.
Treasure brightness in the sun,
Make every moment pay.
The dark’s a time for dreaming,
As shadows dull the pain.
The essence of a treasure lost,
And things not seen again.
