RFD stands for "rural free delivery". It is a US post office designation for rural mail routes. I would guess that RFD-TV used the designation in their name because their targeted audience are those who would live on an post office RFD route. I haven't seen RFD in an address for a few years now, so I don't think the post office uses it anymore. RFD-TV is broadcast on Dish satellite.
I don't know much about barrel racing, but thought the Martha Josey show was pretty good. I like how she used the circles, half-halting, and the fence to help train the horse instead of just letting him go full speed ahead all the time.
I always enjoy Richard Shrake's shows. He seems like a genuinely nice person, and he sure has a good eye for a horse.
I copied Richard Shrakes show last night but I haven't watched it yet. Was it good?
Oh, Ok thanks. A friend of mine is the one that told me it meant something differen. I didn't know.
Her fence work was what I liked, and that it was all done slow and easy. Around here you find very few that do the slow work, it's always just peddle to the metal. That is why, I've always thought there are so many crazy barrel horses around here. I also liked that "funnel barrel" exercise. I'll need more barrels here to do it tho:)
