Great pictures:)

Wasn't Cyn raised on a bottle or something? I've heard that horses that are raised by humans because mom died or didn't have milk will be more pushy....er....snotty:) Easy to live with that tho, and pretty easy to fix with consistency.

I'm home early as we are getting heavy sleet right now. I didn't want to wait till later and have to drive on the roads after they got slick. I've got Mack's computer turning on now to load some pictures of our creeks. I was very very surprised that the big one was not out of it's banks yet. It is right at the top tho. Depending on how much more rain, and how much more run off there will be...it could still go out. ONe thing good, it goes back down very fast. It's just dangerous at night when it's hard to see if it's out or not. We know to watch for it.

Yep.... she was bottle fed. Mom had to be put down with a broken leg or something that happened when she was very young.

My vet yesterday was talking too, about hand raised foals... brought up a foal that he had worked hard to 'save' (His emphasis) that they named after him, and it became such a snot that he hated to work on the horse. Thought it embarrassing that such a horse was named after him ;~D

It's a risk to be aware of, if I have occasion to raise an orphan someday.

He thought the difference that made all the difference with those foals is that they aren't kept alone and pet and loved on by people. They should be turned out with other more dominant horses where they learn manners.
