Well, their vaccines certainly shouldn't be in the vein... they're a muscle shot... is that what you are thinking of maybe?

I don't give injections. I still call my vet for that. I don't like needles.

Giving muscle shots is not hard:) I take a curry comb and rub the area I'm giving it in for a minute or so pretty hard, kind of numbs the spot then stick it in. I have never had one even react doing it this way. They just stand there. Once the needel is in, I aspirate a bit to make sure I have no blood the push the plunger. I gave Belle a rhino Wed. after I got her home.
