That might apply to local levels but when you get to the world shows, etc in AQHA, ApHC and others, most of the big name trainers and show people are men.

There's a lot of men in Arab shows... they're still often gay... with the exception of Patrick Swayzee (I think)

A lot of the western trainers are married - most of the time to women trainers. I'd bet money the women do a lot of the training that the men are paid for too, but it's hard to get horse people to trust a woman trainer.
