Juma is now with a professional barrel horse trainer in Oklahoma, a guy named Lance Graves. I'll send you a link to Juma's for sale picture. It's my understanding that one of the guys that works for Lance is riding Juma and really likes him so maybe he'll end up with that guy. Bud is an Impressive bred paint and is HYPP positive, but with no symptoms so far and he's about 16 years old. The broken navicular bone in his left front is a problem, though. He must have been running and playing and landed on the foot just right to break the bone. He is a big, heavy horse and that didn't help. He's just a pasture ornament now. Honestly, you can't tell there's anything wrong with him, he doesn't limp or anything, but it makes me nervous to ride him with that injury.
Interesting...
Now that you bring up the barrel horse guy Lance Graves, I remember now about Juma. I get all the horses messed up.
Well, they have put a lot of those hurky QH's on tiny feet. How long ago did the injury happen to Bud? if it's long healed of the acute break, and he seems sound, could he do light duty like taking kids for rides or Saturday light trail riding? Is the bone always vulnerable you think?
