German shorthaired pointers are wound especially tight. There were two in Shelley's first obedience class that were completely bonkers. One was a rescue - he was so afraid of loud noises he washed out as a hunting dog. He was even afraid of cars starting and people talking loudly.

There is one that we always meet on the beach at St. Simons. His owner lives a few blocks from the beach and brings the dog out to run EVERY day for an hour or two just so he can live with him in the house. Shelley was overjoyed to find a dog who liked to run as much as she does . . . the GSP was surprised to find a Lab who could run him off his legs . . . they chased each other up and down the beach for an hour or so, we just stood and watched them go.
