I asked him if he could feel the position of the foal and he said that would be impossible. I wanted him to check that the foal was the right way round and not breech or comething. He just kept saying she was big.
I have never seen her go to kick someone the way she did him.

Are these two vets you're speaking of partners? If so, 1) I wouldn't pay this bill, at least till the older vet came and did a better exam, 2) request the older vet.

Okay, you have a problem with your vet. When Bob palpates our mares, he can feel the foal, has even had foals try to nibble on his hand - they can't because his hand is in a totally different area but they can feel it.
