I think you lower risk of lethal white by always breeding Overo to Tobiano. This came up with Taffy, the mare I used to ride who is tovero, meaning she is both tobiano and overo... she's one color over the spine, but the color is white. They bred to an unguarunteed Tobiano stallion, and got a solid ;~D

Not one white hair on her. Not even a star or a sock.

Yes, my neighbor breeds paints and I have had her tell me that you don't breed Overo to Overo but I can never remember whether it's Overo or Tobiano.
