Overo means the color does not cross the spine. Becky posted an Overo above.

The other kind, Tobiano, the color splotches ~do~ cross the spine.

Incidentally, in a third kind, "TOVERO", the color doesn't cross the spine, but the color is white.

Cindy's Sarah Lee is Overo... I don't remember

Hi Hair!

I'm catching up again so pardon my being late and off topic. I think I've heard of another coat pattern called "sabino". I'm not exactly sure what it is but I think it has to do with the edges of the pattern being erratic instead of smooth. Let me know if you find such a thing and what it is.
