Looks like the discussion is dying off sufficiently to change the subject again.

RoS and I have decided that, instead of building a new barn for the stables, we're going to strip our old barn back to the steel frame and convert it. The existing structure is 24' x 36', laid out in 6 12' x 12' sections, with 12' ceiling. The long side of the barn faces our house. Anyone have any advice on the design?

How many horses are you designing it for, and does hay and bedding have to be stored in this building too? Do you expect you will close them in to stalls, or do you want them to have cover they can freely access from paddocks?
