When that paint mare had the foal you've seen in my pics, Bob and Kay had New Zealand fencing, the really heavy gauge smooth wire, pulled very tight. We were moving mom and babe into the large pasture for the first time, and I don't think she could see real well yet. She was running along side mom, who was running for the open gate. Babe along side her didn't head for the gate, she ran strait into the wire on the other side of it. Well, that heavy wire didn't cut her, but it sprang her backwards a little like a slingshot, and she went a$$ over teakettle. She sat there a long time, still not sure what she ran into, or what happened. Some kind of invisible barrier. You could see the thoughts and doubts buzzing around her head, like stars and question marks in cartoons ;~D
Good Morning everyone from the Silver State.
We need to change our state motto from the Silver State to the White State. It's 29 degrees and snowing AGAIN.
Have I mentioned I hate winter? :)
Awfully slow here today:). Slow everywhere I came home early. Nothing going on in town.
