It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to drive in the pasture to get to the barn every day, so even if I wash it off, it's right back the next evening. And on top of that, Grace, the one on the left, will go lick on the salt block for a while first, then come lick the hood, so all the white stuff you see smeared everywhere is dried up salt, mixed with mud. YUCK!
The bad part about mine is that I didn't notice they'd lick it for a while and then rake their teeth across it. They really scratched it up.
