Premarin (female hormone) is taken from pregnant mare urine (someone had a big sense of humor:'). Anyway horses raised for this and the foals sold. Once they aren't "usable" anymore they are sold. You have an adult non-broken horse.

I dunno. I am of the mind that menopause is supposed to happen. I am not sure we are supposed to continue taking hormones when our own drop off naturally. Perhaps someone can explain why it's medically better to take estrogen.

Personally, I've been waiting my whole life for menopause. ;~D
