Well I'm proud of you. Horses are wonderful animals and are relatively easy to read. Once you get their body language down you can pretty much tell what they're gonna do before they do it.

I have hopes my husband will have a change of heart like you, but I'm not counting on it. About the only thing that can be changed about a man is his diaper when he's a baby, after that you'd better just accept him the way he is. ;o)

Isn't that the truth? Sometimes you even have to swat their little legs even to get that done:')

Good morning!
The reason i was determined to overcome my fears, is my 10 yr old daughters love of horses. When we go on trail rides, a lot of comments are directed to the fact that she is a natural and must have been on a horse from an early age. That is not the case, but she does seem to have "a way" with them and apparantly has a good seat! .........like I would know! All i know is that my "seat" hurts after a ride LOL!
I hope your husband changes and that you get to go to the mountains on trail rides. The barn i posted was part of a wonderful gated cabin community that is set up for horse lovers. There are loads of these barns around and lots of trails. No traffic and peace and quiet. We loved it there.
