A lot of the hybrids won't reproduce. I've been told none will but I know that's not right since I've had tomatoes grow from a compost heap. It's probably not the same as the hybrid when they do that though.

If you can find some old fashioned vegetable seeds (and a lot of catalogs have them) get though and plant them.

I have a friend whose husband is a wheat farmer in Ks.. I remember being surprised and outraged:) that it was aganist the law for them to buy/produce wheat that would reproduce itself. Every year they have to buy the seeds for their fields.

How can you tell the difference in catalogs? I would like to plant natural and save seeds year to year.
