Check on the prices then for aluminum trailers (they are much lighter) and on goosenecks (which pull much better). We have a four horse slant load enclosed trailer. It's nice because if push comes to shove, we can trailer four horses. Most of the time, we have at least one divider out so that it's easier to trailer with saddles on or trailer moms and babies.
Our's isn't aluminum so it takes a heavy duty truck to pull it and uses more diesel.
We thought we'd try to get a bumper pull because we'd rather have the bed of the truck remain useable. I know they do have ball hitches that don't obstruct too much, a nice three horse bumper pull or stock trailer would work just fine.
