Well, Bay may be too old to score well, but hopefully we could pass at a beginner level, and keep ecurbh company, and make a game of it. The challenges sound like a blast.

Bay would probaably do great. In our region, we have lots of older horses like Bay. They do fine.

But, like I've also said, "every" ride I've been too, there have been horses colic or tie up, 2 times died. Because of people who do not condition enough. 20 miles at 4mph is not just a walk in the park. It may not be as hard as endurance, but it still requires conditioning. I was always amazed at the once a month riders that came and competed. Sometimes the horse made it, but you know that had to really take alot out of them. Celia was one of those types:). Several times her horse would colic.

The Vet judges check gut sounds, capillary refill time, all that stuff. But the odd thing (I think) is the vet judge will NOT treat a sick horse. The Asso. usually has a vet on call for emergencies. But the vet judge is not allowed to treat.
