That sounds really laid out. I don't think I want my tack and feed room combined though. We get huge rats at the stable barn. I don't want my tack in an area that's going to attract vermin. I also want the tack room viewing my sick room/nursery:')

ack! *shudder* The worst we get is mice in the grain bins. And huge freakin' spiders. Spiders. Big ones, small ones, hairy ones it doesn't matter.

When I lived in North Carolina I had a rat snake that lived in my barn, plus tons of cats. That kept the mice, etc. under control.
Here I have four feral cats and chickens which again, keeps things pretty much under control.

Your idea of having a tack room seperate from the feed room will keep your tack a lot cleaner. This is a sketch of my barn. There are hangers along the outside of the tack room in the alley holding halters, headstalls, longe lines, hoof picks, etc. Then there is a hanger by each stall holding a halter and lead line.
