Thread Four: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1332664/posts |

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
I saw. Fred's cute!
Been to Billy Bob's .. lol
Was it fun or just hype? :')
If you haven't been to the Stockyards since BillyBob's was put in, you're in for a treat. They've cleaned it up considerably and there are more restaurants.
BillyBob's is more hype than anything. It's a humongous place with gift shops, a tiny arena for bull riding that always looked too small to be safe to me, a stage and seating for concerts, and several bars. Oh, and a dance floor in front of the stage. It's been many years since I've been in there so some things might have changed but you get the gist.
A little of both. (sorry, texasgal, I answered that for you)
Well .........
If you like really HUGE Honky Tonks with ALOT going on...
It really was an experience .. kids there, food court, games, pool tables, dance floor, live band, live bull riding, photos .. etc.
:'). I've been thinking that if anyone interested maybe it would be fun to sign up for one of her clinics. Yall could all go do your thing and leave me with my riding level group and we could meet up afterwards.
If you were closer, I'd throw a snowball at you.
No snow here yet, but a local friend reports snow at her place, and it's coming.
Morning, Hair. Bracing for some more snow, huh?
Bracing for our first snow of the season, really. We haven't been hit yet. A little bit yesterday that didn't stick.
Martha Josey clinic? Hmmmm Where is Marshall?
Get pictures. I still haven't developed mine yet.
Somewhere in east texas , I think.
Ohh, I thought I saw pics of the horses and your house in snow and frozen water buckets? Was that not you? Or was that not this year?? lol
Heh... you know me! Of course there will be pictures!
Just getting caught up still... fun hallway contest you had there! Sorry you didn't win first place :~D
Those were my pics, from last year.
Ahhhhhhhhhh, you had me going. I thought ya'll had already been hammered this year! *g*
goat?
Maybe lol. I used a childrens book that was in Spanish. Probably supposed to be a goat :').
