I recommend that you guys download Ad-Aware. It does a whiz-bang job at clearing up spyware issues, and it and its updates are all free. There's a soundalike program that's calld AdWare which does the same thing, so BEware! :-)

Mack was having trouble on his computer. He added something to stop it, quit using internet explorer and started using Mozilla Firefox. He also runs some type of cleanup program that he downloaded free off the internet a few times a week. It's gotten alot better.

I'll check into those this weekend. It's just mine. It doesn't happen on Eddies or the one at work.

Same here, Cindy. We have exactly the same thing. I have
Adaware and McAfee but still getting the popups. My husband never gets popups on his computer.

That program I watched last night wasn't really what I was expecting from the info given on the guide. It was all about the fundamentals of barrel racing. It was very good tho. I enjoyed it. She did go over tack and I learned how to be sure I've got my tie down strap adjusted right. I've always wondered about that. She also went over some good exercises that work on getting the horse to get his hindquarters under him better. Some of them I already knew, but there was some I didn't. I enjoyed that, and am looking forward to trying them. Nothing hard about any of it other then just doing it:). But I think she motivated me. I saved the program, so I can watch it some more, to keep me motivated.

It is very cold here. My son just had to come in and get some hot water to get the back door on the work truck open.

The last I heard it is suppose to warm back up this weekend tho.

~crossing fingers~

I hate winter.

RFD stands for "rural free delivery". It is a US post office designation for rural mail routes. I would guess that RFD-TV used the designation in their name because their targeted audience are those who would live on an post office RFD route. I haven't seen RFD in an address for a few years now, so I don't think the post office uses it anymore. RFD-TV is broadcast on Dish satellite.

I don't know much about barrel racing, but thought the Martha Josey show was pretty good. I like how she used the circles, half-halting, and the fence to help train the horse instead of just letting him go full speed ahead all the time.

I always enjoy Richard Shrake's shows. He seems like a genuinely nice person, and he sure has a good eye for a horse.

I almost hate to ask:

What is "warm" when it "warms back up"? .. hehe

Mornin', all!

Becky, I watched most of the program but my kidlets were bugging me so I didn't give it my rapt attention, but what I saw was very informative and not just for barrel racers. The segment on getting your horse off the forehand would be good for riders of any discipline.

I used to run barrels in high school but my horse was an old, National Finals veteran so I didn't have to do anything but sit and hold on. If I had to ride a horse with not much barrel racing experience, I'd just mess them up. LG probably wouldn't let me anywhere near Juma. ;)

I copied Richard Shrakes show last night but I haven't watched it yet. Was it good?

Oh, Ok thanks. A friend of mine is the one that told me it meant something differen. I didn't know.

Her fence work was what I liked, and that it was all done slow and easy. Around here you find very few that do the slow work, it's always just peddle to the metal. That is why, I've always thought there are so many crazy barrel horses around here. I also liked that "funnel barrel" exercise. I'll need more barrels here to do it tho:)

Around here, at this time of year it would be in the 50's. I can live with that, if the wind isn't too bad.

Good morning everyone,
Just logged on early to check the weather. Looks like we are in the middle of the storm everyone predicted. Now just a wait for daylight to see how bad things are here. I hate driving in this stuff.
