I saw that story. Is what surprised me about that was that they paid attention to a 10 year old. ALL the people on the beach at that resort did. The article said not one person from that resort died.

Can you imagine being out in the ocean for 10 days on a tree....what would think about???

Becky

I thought about you today, when I was reading the thread about the two guys fired from Wal*Mart, for shooting the stray cat.

LOL Out of the mouths of babes!

Ten days? I'd be thinking about pizza and Ozarka water.

LOL

I saw the thread but stayed out of the fracas. I'm not posting in open forum anymore. I enjoy talking to you guys too much to risk losing touch.

I didn't see anything on Cyn... Bay just got the scuff, and though he's favoring it, I don't see swelling. I don't know what happened in there :~\

Do horses get sore after riding? Why do we brush them down afterwards? I do it pre to get them clean for the saddle. but I was just wondering because sometimes you hit spots they really like. I use a stiff brush on SL's mane after I ride her and she will almost brush herself.

You may not want to know:') When I hit the dog with the pick, the way he carried on, I thought I had really hurt him but no holes and a few minutes later he was like nothing happened. Little drama king.

Mostly because it feels good. Good to rub and get the circulation going again under where the saddle was. If it's warm out, rinse the sweat off, because the salts will make them dry and itchy.

Ok. Funny. One of those things I just do because I was told to and never thought about why. I didn't know about rinsing. That may be why sometimes SL's coat seems coarse for a few brushings.

And sure they'll get sore after riding, moreso if they aren't in shape. They are mammals with muscles and joints, after all. Fatigue is fatigue. Also good to press and look for aches you should avoid and fix, like saddle soreness, places under the saddle that they particularly wince away from pressure.

Why not? ;~D There are no 'horse chiropractic' schools. Most of them are people chiropractors who branched to horses.

"This is the little one below our house" 30-40 foot deep? My river - the Carson River maybe hits 10 foot deep after a lot of run off :) Boy, I like that 80 acre place.
