Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
Hey cowboy. I've been deputized, it seems. I have 6 more minutes on my lunch break. No trouble now, you hear?:')
5 minutes? lol
Here. I'm passing the tin star to you. I have to get back to work:')
Don't leave me alone with that nut!!
I notice nobody is telling him how to post pictures. Good move, ladies.
"I notice nobody is telling him how to post pictures. "
First having Tuffy call me a dork and a fake horse expert hurt and now no one is sharing the secret of posting photos. Pets in Louisina have feelings, too, you know????
Sitting here tapping my fingers on my desk waiting for someone to share the photo secret.
Tapping.............tapping........tapping............
I honestly don't know how, my husband has always posted my pics for me. You have to put them on a host website first so they'll have a URL address.
I'll give this a try.

I don't know. There is one called Snapfish that does it.
Nope, didn't work. It just took me to Yahoo. I'm at work too but I'll try to get you something soon.
Now I'm not good at directions, but here's my attempt at it. Hopefully this is right:
1. Logon to www.snapfish.com and set up an account.
2. Follow their instructions for uploading pictures from your PC to their site.
3. Go into the album containing thumbnails of the pictures you want to post.
4. Double-click on the thumbnail of the picture you want to post to enlarge it.
5. When the enlarged picture comes up, right-click on the picture, then click on Properties in the drop-down menu.
6. When the Properties window comes up, put your cursor on the Address[URL] line and right-click.
7. Click Select All from the drop-down menu. The URL will highlight.
8. Right click again and click Copy from the drop-down menu. You now have the URL for the picture in your clipboard.
9. In the Posting Comment window, type the following:
< img src=" (witn no space between the < and img. This was the only way I could figure out how to type it and make the html show up here. I'm an html dummy)
10. Place your cursor after the " and paste in the URL you copied in step 8. It will be very long and look like gibberish.
11. After the last character of the URL type the following 2 characters: ">
Then click Post. I always make sure the preview is on so I can see if the picture made it or not and fix it accordingly.
If this doesn't work, just consider the source and get Hair to post her instructions which are much better.

Sorry for the double post. It didn't look like it was going to post the first time. Duh!
Thanks, Frog. If it doesn't work, then just blame Cindy and Tuffy.
That's ok, you have to tell Keith everything twice, anyway.
Hey ya'll, I have a Pessoa "Rodrigo" 15" pony saddle that I'm gonna sell. They are about $800 new and I'll sell mine for $300. It's in great shape, just has the usual wear. Anybody need it?
Seems like a good buy! I have a pony.... But no real need for a saddle! is it a real small seat? western?
Not me, but I'll bet you could get a good price for it on e-Bay. A friend of mine sells saddles on there all the time. She has a deal with a local Amish saddle maker. She buys them from him new at a really good price and resells them. She makes quite a nice profit, but they're still much cheaper than you'd get them from anywhere else (besides the Amish guy himself of course).
It's very cute. No butts in this house that would fit a seat that small though. ;~D
Oh honey, my butt won't even come close to fitting in that saddle. Even my kids are growing out of it so I bought another one just like it, only slightly bigger.
I'll be back in a bit, gotta pick the rugrats up from school.
