I too like the Quiet Man, but a early 20th century irish setting is hardly a western, though they could have been in west Ireland. Maureen O'Hara is the lust, I mean love, of my life. Cheers.

I second that emotion about Maureen O'Hara. As for favorite westerns try these:

Butch cassidy and the Sundance Kid
The Sons of Katie Elder
Waterhole #3

Four of my favorites that come to mind.

Hands on hips....Well men, you are so Right! I stand corrected.

"The Quiet Man" is not a western then. Would it then be Blarney?

When I hear or read the word `Western` in print I always think of the Duke. He was just so `Big` in life.

I sure won`t confuse This movie with a Western again! `blushing` ;-)

Maybe you will do more movie Threads?
