Word For The Day, Day, Date



In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

of·fi·cious adj. of·ficious·ly adv. of·ficious·ness n.

adj : intrusive in a meddling or offensive manner; "an interfering old woman"; "bustling about self-importantly making an officious nuisance of himself"; "busy about other people's business" [syn: interfering, meddlesome, meddling, busy, busybodied] Marked by excessive eagerness in offering unwanted services or advice to others: an officious host; officious attention. Informal; unofficial. Archaic. Eager to render services or help others

Etymology: [Latin officisus, obliging, dutiful, from officium, duty. See office.]

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

she found all the songs on her own, bc of course i don't know the names or who even sang half of the stuff. she is a huge 80s freak and so she comes upon the stuff herself. Her latest fixation is the tv series, Saved By the Bell. RME!
