Word For The Day, Day, Date
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
of·fi·cious adj. of·ficious·ly adv. of·ficious·ness n.
adj : intrusive in a meddling or offensive manner; "an interfering old woman"; "bustling about self-importantly making an officious nuisance of himself"; "busy about other people's business" [syn: interfering, meddlesome, meddling, busy, busybodied] Marked by excessive eagerness in offering unwanted services or advice to others: an officious host; officious attention. Informal; unofficial. Archaic. Eager to render services or help others
Etymology: [Latin officisus, obliging, dutiful, from officium, duty. See office.]
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

it was and i swear nowhere else on earth is this particular juxtapositioning of songs on a single CD! i LOVED the early madonna stuff. i dragged xshub, we may not even have been married yet, to see her hopelessly bad movies, Desperately Seeking Susan (costarring that hunk Aidan Quinn) and SHanghai Surprise.
