The horrors that the left envisioned as forthcoming under Ronald Reagan never came to pass (except the fall of their beloved Soviet Union). Even the big censorship push of the 1980s was launched by Tipper Gore who came a heartbeat away from the White House.

Some performers decide to create music for the ages rather than a specific administration and the Democrats cry, "you sold out, man!"

Give me a break. It is like seeing those lame copies of Rock Against Bush STILL on the listening wall at Borders' bookstore.

Like so many conscious Clevelanders, my friend had spent Election Day doing whatever last-minute political work he could, so after his set, he joined the crowd watching the returns on the TV at the back bar.

You say that you are a "conscious Clevelander," eh, Franklin? Fine. But let this East Cleveland-native really break it down for you. And after I break it down, you're gonna have to let it stay broke because it won't be able to be put back together again.

Take a look in the mirror. You are living with the consequences of your Marxist, or "progressive" ideas. Since you are a progressive, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Cleveland is the poorest city of all the largest cities in the U.S. It has rock bottom public schools. The people who live inside of the Cleveland city limits are for all intents and purposes unemployable. Unions, which I know you are proud of with your progressivism, have helped to run the city's economy into the ground.

So what do you have left inside Cleveland's city limits? The results of your Marxist laboratory, that's what.

Don't be shocked to behold your progressive paradise. You progressives built it with your own thieving hands. And they wonder why they call Cleveland "Thieveland."

Parasites die when the host dies. Learn from that. I just hope that the rot won't continue out to Garfield Heights, Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, South Euclid, Elyria, Lorraine, Bedford, and Parma. But Shaker may be on this road to ruin itself.
