That's what I was thinking. I would be afraid of parasites. My dog ate raw meat once by accident and got a tape worm.

Have the cat checked out regularly by the vet.

The parasite-thing is a non-issue to dogs. They're actually still wolves -- designer wolves, but wolves nonetheless and carnivores not omnivores ergo they need raw meat in their diets. They have an acidic system that kills the bad stuff -- but you still feed the same grades of meat you'd feed yourself -- unlike the 3D and 4D grades of meat in most grocery store dog food. Want to save money and have your dogs and cats live a longer life -- go raw -- but learn about it first -- they need the raw meat AND raw bones, too... NOT ever, ever cooked bones.
