One time ping to you folks who seem pretty savvy about Firefox.

Back in the days when I used IE I had the same thing happen. I cleared the history and started over and it seemed to fix the problem. I use Netscape now but am considering Firefox.

Links changing colors. Hell, I can't even get it to use my internet connection. All the other browsers work (IE, Netscape, Opera, Voyager, Mozilla. Checked to make sure it wasn't looking for a proxy (it wasn't). Always says "The connection was refused when attemptimg to contact www.freerepublic.com". Anyone have any thoughts?

You can add an extension called LinkVisitor 1.0.20041021 I forgot to mention that you cannot have your Firefox History setting at 0 days. You must have History set for a minimum of 1 day.

Try exiting and restarting Firefox for the changes to take effect. If you haven't that is.
I had the same issue and a restart fixed it.

my mozilla firefox just had a program crash.
it attempted to send an error report to its master but could not locate the server.
just after the crash microsoft asked by way of zone alarm permission to send an error report. it worked.
