That depends on the runner.
Sprinters - not anorexic
Long distance - too thin, but their chosen sport requires a light weight build.
But that's beside the point, you're talking about people who run 50+ miles a week. To gain most of the benefits of running, you run as little as 15 miles a week
Most fat people really don't want to make the effort to lose weight. If they did, they would run.
