It looks like if we had gone to the ball we would have had to buy full length attire.
There was an entire spectrum of dress. Men in business wear to tuxes. Ladies in nice slacks to slinky sequin thingies. And everything in between. There was one gal there in jeans and a plain shirt, but she was festooned with cameras and camera bags and flashes and such.
