But does it have the luggage area between the back seat and rear window? The bug we had in Hawaii when I was a kid had this. We used to call dibs on who got to ride in the "puka".

It does! (Although I doubt I'll let anyone ride back there...much.)
It's gonna be really cute when we get it all fixed up. The upper part of the car has some surface rust, but none of that bubbly stuff. The underneath...the pans and such...have got to be rusty, but we haven't seen it. I did look under the rubber mats right down to the pan in the back floorboard and didn't see any earth through the floor, you know? LOL
