Any interest here in a group reading of LoTR again? I'm ready now to read it again, having now seen PJ tell the whole story his way, to refresh my memory from the books.
ecurbh and I have just barely started, starting with The Hobbit. which I haven't read in an age.
I don't think we have to do it ~as~ formally as we did in the Green Dragon, but if there are a few others who would wish to discuss book chapters here on something of a schedule to keep us together, we'd be willing. Would be fun!
I'd be willing to give it a try, as long as there's no tests involved.
Can we start after Christmas?
I may not post many comments but would love to read others if I find the time as well as go through the books again. That's because I'm an ollllldddder! returning student so that'll have to be my first priority and I have my first full load this coming semester! ...yeow!...
Finished.
OK, what do I win?
"You do not understand!" said Pippin. "You must go - and therefore we must, too. Merry and I are coming with you. Sam is an excellent fellow, and would jump down a dragon's throat to save you, if he did not trip over his own feet; but you will need more than one companion on your dangerous adventure."
In other words, yes. I would like to, myself, conspiracy and all.
Besides...you NEED people of intelligence on this party.
ANNOUNCEMENT : WE ARE GOING TO HOMESCHOOL YAY!!!
Sure! I was just looking around yesterday at my books thinking, "Hmm what to read..."
I'm in the midst of reading it aloud to my husband, voices and all.
We've just gotten to Treebeard.
Evening Hair - nice new digs.
Count me in. We going to start with the Hobbit?
I vote 'Yes' on a brand new "Green Dragon".
Been digging in RotK and Simillarian again since release of EE.
Can we start at New Year's?
