Along the same vein (apologies for the graininess) ...
(gentle, old, laid-back Lancaster County farm dog and his feline friends)
Also, if you insist on eating monster thickburgers (argh!), at least consider this as your next meal (please? ... your arteries will thank you for it :) ...
1/2 C sliced almonds 2 medium tangerines 6 cups torn green leaf lettuce (I also add a small amount of red oak, baby spinach, frisée, and green peas) 1 green onion, chopped 2 T apple cider vinegar 1 T olive oil
Combine and lightly toss all but oil and vinegar, and then spinkle with them just before serving (serves two).
And on the side (for Tracy to bake for you
Ive already sent her the recipes :)
. . . .
sweet orange bread. . or . .pumpkin cider bread
(May not be back on-line again until after Christmas, so ... just in case ... have a warm and blessed one!)

I've been promised the pumpkin bread by Christmas. We'll see if she follows through.
I think I like my thickburgers better than your salad. Meat is a "man thing", salad is a "lady thing". :-) But I'll at least give it a try, minus the red oak and other stuff I never heard of. :-)
A very merry Christmas to you and Rick too Joanie. I hope you get a white one.

GREAT dog and cat picture, by the way!

I know your fruit and lettuce salad will make me live longer Joanie, but I need a jump start with one of these once in a while. Maybe that's why you ride long-distance bicycle and I get my exercise playing Super Mario. ;)
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Joanie.
