Star Jones has stiffed a NYC company that helped to beautify her penthouse garden in advance of an Architectural Digest photo shoot last year, according to a lawsuit filed against the freebie loving star of ABC's 'The View.'
Dimitri Nurseries claims that Jones signed an agreement guaranteeing that the firm would get a credit in the magazine (in lieu of payment) for its work.
When the citation did not appear, the firm demanded that Jones make good on a $7,892.00 bill.
Jones, 42 did not want to pay and offered to give the firm a plaque with her signature that could be hung in the firms East Harlem headquarters.
For her part, Jones claims that she is aggrieved party, saying that the construction was shoddy and has caused leaks that have damaged her condo.
She of course did not air those claims to anyone until after the gardening company filed its court complaint in late September.

You will pay dearly for planting that image in my head. My vengeance will be swift and certain. I am the Cheese Man. Fear me. :^)
Now you know! Continue being no one. I shall return to my non-notoriety now as well.
She took over for Joan Rivers on E! hosting the awards shows.
Her comments can plug anything on air..
She ate the other commentators. She wins by default.
I find this more interesting:
Celebrity death match--Star v. Moore
This woman thinks she is much more famous than she is. The only thing she is famous for is being an egotistical harpy.
I just had to scroll down the thread...didnt I...serves me right.
Hmm, the itemized bill includes four hours of consulting with Dmitri for $500. I shoulda been a garden consultant I guess.
And that was the most flattering one..
I may not make $125 an hour, but at least I don't have to worry about being consumed while working.
That would be something to watch, wouldn't it?
I own and run a 20ac nursery and garden center in the York, PA, area, and get "offers" like that all the time from politicians, developers, film companies, local celebs etc. A simple, "No thank you" works every time. In 15yrs, I've never been stiffed.
LMAO - Hard as it is to believe, I bet even Sharpton wouldn't touch this skank.
I am looking at the picture. I am studying the picture (my eyes!). As a woman, as a nurse, I cannot quite figure out her torso. Bad plastic surgery? A huge, gangsta wannabe medallion? Her wallet and car keys? Yikes.
Stupid company. The subject of an article can't guarantee that the magazine will give a credit to the company. They should have gotten the guarantee from AD.
I used to write for home publications. There was lots of stuff that came my way, based on a mention in an article. It's how it works. But, any agreements were with the publication, not with me.
Effin' N-word beeyotch ping.
I just went to her website and sent her a note telling her to pay her gardener, that's she's not the "Star" she thinks she is, and that the guys wants him money, not her stupid plaque. In case anyone wants to do the same.
