I see the same stuff in Bookstores, lol in NC too. I believe the bookstore thing is widespread though.
I believe it's because a liberal feels the need to display their 'intellect' by being seen reading in a public place.
There's also an element of collectivism they all cherish, and what not a better way to fulfill that than to read with groups of other people displaying their 'superior intellect'. A friend of mine and I often laugh at the mere appearance of people in a Barn & Noble we go to from time to time. Something about seeing obvious liberals is just entertaining to us lol. Since we are young we blend in just enough not to be noticed when we are around them!
