Yeah, exactly. I was so excited when I first heard the prospect of TV Land but I was quickly dissapointed. I believe they show Gunsmoke like, 10 times a day! It is almost impossible to find those great old shows that never, ever jumped the shark unless you buy them on DVD. I know when I have kids someday I'm never letting them watch any of the crap thats on TV now, they can watch moms DVD collection, lol.
The only show I like on cartoon network anymore is Family Guy but I think they only play it late at night. I used to like Space Ghost, I don't know if you remember that show, but I don't think they play it anymore.

Yeah, cough.... Nothing against "Gunsmoke," but that's another show they have on too much. Mom is even tired of it, she was tired of it in the 1960's even, she always called it "Gunstroke." B-) I like the Action Channel or whatever it is called, I like watching the old Irwin Allen TV show, "The Time Tunnel" and then go into a double dose of "Combat!" with Vic Morrow about a squad of World War II soldiers from just before the Normandy Landings to their pushes deeper into France. One thing that amazes me is the show was made from 1962 to 1967 with the last season in color, but in actual time, that phase in World War II in Europe lasted a little over 11 months in real life. B-) Great show though.

Family Guy is good and I think South Park is too although I musyt admit they are aimed for adults. "Space Ghost," do you mean the 1960's TV cartoon series or his interview show. I caught the latter from time to time, I remember when "Birdman had to sub for him but since it was at night and there is no sun, he had trouble maintaining power to stay awake. B-) The original 1966 series, I remember first seeing it in color on my aunt's late 1950's or early 1960's vintage RCA "roundie." A "roundie" is an old color TV set with a round oicture tube, usually 21 inch in diameter although there were 19 and 15 inchers made too. The set had a bezel covering the front of the picture tube that is part of the cabinent where you saw straight lines on the top and bottom of the screen but the ends were still round.
The "roundie" pictured above is actually a Zenith but it does bear a slight resemblence to her RCA. Until 1971, we were stuck with a 1959 B&W Philco, no UHF tuner until we got a color Zenith in 1971 which I still have.
