Haveing worked with and around several alcoholics, I came to the conclusion that if you ever wonder if you have a drinking problem, then you probably do

I was once told by a substance councilor that if drinking caused a problem, you have a drinking problem.

I will build a ping list called "Addiction Recovery".

I have been thinking about this for a while, too. Here are the names from people admitting that they are in recovery so far.

I never had a drinking "problem" other than I think I too developed an allergy to it. A severe headache within a few minutes of taking a sip is not a good sign. I stopped even taking a sip about 10 years ago. I am now the "designated driver" when I am out with my friends.

Damn! My headaches had the courtesy to wait until the next day. LOL My fiance likes not having to worry about who's going to drive us home.

Woa, Auntie, that's quite a description -- shows even non-drinkers can be in a vicious cycle.

And makes me think of my parents, neither drank, but Dad was (and is) in a bad mood all the time and Mom tiptoes around and expects the rest of us to do the same.

My alcohol "problem/allergy" showed up at the same time some other allergies manifest themselves, MSG, certain prescriptions medications etc. Now some food allergies that I though I had outgrown have come back with a vengeance. Corn is the most difficult one because it is in almost everything you buy. In the words of the famous Rozanne Rozannadanna, "it's always something".
