Alright, everyone, I was a huge Pantera fan, and an even bigger Dimebag fan, he was influenced by Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhoads, and my favorite westerner or cowboy next to Ronaldus Magnus and President Bush. Feel free to list any favorites of Dimebag, including songs from his bands or concerts, you get the idea... Mine: The ending of Cemetary Gates, his harmonics were a perfect pitch to Phil Anselmo's falsetto part of the song, and then he did Phil one better by going to higher note than Phil could touch...except with a guitar, which is pretty incredible. A guitar legend...

I listened to Pantera about ten years ago, shortly before coming to my senses.

My favorite dimebag moment was in college and had nothing to do with Dimebag or Pantera.
That said, you're correct that he is absolutely furious on 'Cemetary Gates'!! He will be missed by me.

What does this have to do with people picking their teeth in public?
RIP, Dime.

I am kind of ignorant on this Dimebag guy. Kind of hard to get excited about a guy named after a $10 bag of dope.

Oh, sorry, VVV, didn't mean to offend you. I guess the troops overseas would offend you, too since a lot of them listen to Pantera or Metallica and use them against those who call us infidels.

The remake of Cat Scratch Fever. Never was a huge fan, couldn't usually stand the growling vocals, but I liked the background music.

Mine? Being 17 years old and getting completely wasted before going into the mosh pit, punching every person in sight, coming out all bruised, and me and my buddies going "THAT WAS SOME AWESOME SH**, MAN!!!!"
Who says this music is violent?!

There are much bigger tragedies to worry about than a guy named Dimebag getting shot after a decade of producing violent music.Have you thought about changing your screen name to lackofvalueslackofvalueslackofvalues?
In other words, shut up, Newbie.

I'm just getting sick of seeing thousands of tribute posts to this person.Ya know, it's pretty easy to look at a thread title, and say to one's self "I'm not really interested in that topic" and then - here's the tricky part - not click on the link.
Perhaps, sometime, you could stop clicking on threads you are not interested in. Or, would you rather we all just do whatever we can to accomodate you, since you are obviously so much more important than anyone else? Let us know, and quickly, so we don't screw up and inconvenience you in any way.

Dimebag was talentless and played no talent needed music..... He dyed his beard a freaky purple. Our young freepers will learn to appreciate real music like the Rolling Stones and Frank Sinatra.

Dimebag, eh? His claims to fame are probably:
- Smoking a J with Ozzy Ozbourne.
- Setting himself on fire at a party after doing enough drugs to kill a horse.
- Jumping out a 3rd story window while high on drugs at a party after betting your friends that you could fly (I know, I'm being really rash by assuming that a guy nicknamed "Dimebag" would have anything to do with drugs).
I got to hand it to Dimebag, he died in a very rock'n'roll manner. But not as rock'n'roll as Randy Rhodes, who died by getting very high on a variety of drugs, buzzing the his band's bus with his airplane, and crashing said airplane into a house.
