Actually, technology will probably make the need for cavity searches unnecessary.

I read the link you provided. It's only capable of scanning through clothes. What good would this do for a terrorist smuggling a small amount of explosives in a body cavity?

Currently, perhaps none, but if the need was felt for that, I would think the technology could be developed to provide that. Perhaps some combination of a normal X-RAY and this technology. My point is that if it became urgent for body cavities to be searched, then I would suspect that technology, perhaps technology similar to this would be utilized before cavity searches.
