Yes, she may have been suffering from alcoholitis, but that's not a good enough excuse for my money. She was still standing after all.

The company her husband works for were customers of mine. Somehow, he was promoted to general manager and since his promotion, they no longer do business with me. To this day I suspect my witnessing the "event" contributed to his decision. Although I socialize with the owner of his company, I could never in good conscience bring up my suspiscions as to why I am no longer their supplier. This is one of those dilemmas they never discussed in any management course I ever took.

I'm just imagining a long, boring management seminar, droning speaker, stuffy room after lunch, dozing audience.

The speaker asks the audience for an example of a problem.

Quilla raises her hand, a faintly evil grin running fleetingly across her face...

Her husband is probably mortified to death and too embarrassed to look you in the eye.
