NBC was forced to show the best and still only had about 40 seconds of material where he was not saying something idiotic.

Which goes to show that you can't just take someone with no experience in construction and tell him to build you a skyscraper. He should have taken the golf course job.

As someone else said, the very premise of the show is a little - fuzzy.

The very premise of the show is to feed Trump's ego and get Trump publicity while making money for Trump. The contestants are merely stage props.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Trump gets what he wants, the stage props get their 15 minutes of fame, Carolyn gets to write a book that sells and we get entertainment.

If any contestant winner stays in the Trump organization after their first year on the "job" they won, it will be in the role of a publicity novelty with Trump playing the part of the organ grinder.
