To me, it just feels weird and insincere. I'm sure many or most or all are sincere about it, but I couldn't type in a prayer and post it here and feel right about it. It also seems a little like idolatry to me, praying to the Internet.

It also seems a little like idolatry to me, praying to the Internet. No, vanity prayers are almost always individual FReepers REQUESTS for others to pray for them or their loved ones. No one here prays to the Internet to my knowledge. If you used the telephone to ask someone to keep you in their prayers, would you consider it to be praying to the telephone? Of course not.
