I agree with all of yours. One thing that's been really bothering me lately is the use of {snip} in posted articles. this was never practiced at all in the early days here. If someone goes to the trouble of posting an article, why not just post the whole dang thing? Not just what the poster feels is significant, I mean, can't we decide for ourselves without having to travel over to a secondary site to read the entire thing? (and risk getting pop-ups or worse, Adware). Are they just trying to pump up the hits?
How this got started, I don't know, but some posters seem to use it in every thing they post.

I agree (although more sources are being restricted to excerpts every day).
I post the article in full and sometimes will then excerpt in the #1 post (or multiple followup posts) if I have a lot of points to make about specific sections of the article.
