Select the forum you want BEFORE you click POST otherwise you will post to your current forum (which almost always is News/Activism).

Maybe we would all be spared misdirected vanities if posts went to Chat by default. Make News/Breaking etc. have to be specifically selected.

I've posted dozens of times over the last five years but never ran into this problem before. Probably because I very seldom post vanities.

I really like vanities. Although they should not be allowed to overrun the forum, about 10% of them would seem a good compromise at this point.

Some of the best threads are vanities.
