All the buzz I'm hearing is they are hot for Rick Neuheisel nlow that the NCAA cleared him of any wrongdoing and put all the blame on Washington.

I wonder why this had to be included. I thought race was not supposed to matter. Does the article also mention that he's the first black to be FIRED as head coach from ND? I mean, the media is always so quick to focus on these "firsts" you know.

Butch Davis ought to go back to the Cowboys where he built that number one defense. They need it desparately.
As for the black head coaches, where's Johnny Cochran on this one. Why this oughtta be a hiring practice? You get points for hiring a minority. Some sort of kick back. Something's got to be done about this one. We can't be a havin' these sort of practices in these universities. This is an outrage! I don't care what kind of record Willingham has there.
The fact that he's a minority is what matters most. And Notre Dame calls itself progressive. What is this...the 1930's? :) Denote sarcasm.

I am coming around on having Butch Davis coming to UF. He knows the area and recruiting the State of Florida, not sure if Meyer is well-suited enough in that area. Recruiting is just as important as the coaching aspect. Zook was a good recruiter, but not a good gametime coach. Spurrier was slipping in the recruiting department when he left. Recruiting in Florida is a war in and of itself.
We must insist that "Our" college coaches should "look like America". I, for one, will not rest until EVERY Division 1A football coaching staff reflects the following ethnicity percentages from the latest census (AND, I want 13% overall to be left-handed):
