camle, i have heard the catholic church and othe christian denominations do ban freemasonry. i never paid much attention to it, and doint really have an opinion on the matter. i also know a few freemason catholics. why do you think christian churches dont like freemasons?

i've noticed the flames on this post...i'm just looking for guidance.

the catholic church also for centuries banned the teachings of Gallelio for heresy. with their record of tolerance and understanding ("kill them all - let God sort them out", the inquisition, etc.) i wouldn't be puching cathlolicism as a model of charitibla behavior.

their dislike for freemasonry is less based upon tolerance, and more upon the bad history between some masonic groups and their refusal to cede their treasuries to the church.
